** India's Sigachi Industries SIGC.NS ended 11.5% lower at 48.76 rupees, after falling as much as 14.7% in the session

** At least 12 people died and more than 26 injured after an explosion at pharma co's chemical unit in India's Telangana state on Monday, Reuters reported

** Co said the incident resulted in "loss of human life" and added exact number of injuries is currently being confirmed

** The unit contributes to 6,000 MTPA out of co's total 21,700 MTPA capacity and operations at the plant have been paused for 90 days - SIGC

** Stock down 4.3% YTD
