** Sigachi Industries SIGC.NS falls 7.5% to 42.62 rupees, its lowest level in more than a month

** SIGC has lost ~23% since Monday

** Co said on Wednesday fire accident at its factory on Monday resulted in 40 deaths and left 33 people injured

** It added that the accident was not caused by a reactor explosion at the plant but did not provide additional details on the cause of the accident

** The unit contributes to 6,000 MTPA out of co's total 21,700 MTPA capacity and operations at the plant have been paused for 90 days - SIGC

** Ops at the plant remain temporarily suspended for approximately 90 days

** About 3 mln shares traded, 3.6x the 30-day avg

** Stock down ~15% YTD
