The following factors could affect Italian markets on Monday.

    POLITICS
    Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said on Sunday she was
ready to work with Donald Trump after making a surprise visit to
Florida to meet the president-elect before his inauguration on
Jan. 20.
    
    Iran's foreign ministry summoned the Italian ambassador on
Friday over the detention of an Iranian national wanted by the
United States, a day after a similar move by Italy over Iran's
arrest of Italian reporter Cecilia Sala.

    LEONARDO  LDOF.MI 
    The defence and aerospace group could make an M&A
announcement in the early part of the year, CEO Roberto
Cingolani told Milano Finanza over the weekend. He also said 
that there is interest in the market for the disposal of another
stake in the group's subsidiary DRS, but there is nothing on the
table.
    
    IVECO  IVG.MI 
    The company announced late on Friday that it had finalised a
deal to sell its unit that produces firefighting vehicles to
Germany's private equity fund Mutares  MUXG.DE  under a deal
signed last March. The terms of the agreement are subject to a
potential price adjustment linked to the unit's performance
during 2024. One-off effects from the transaction are excluded
from Iveco Group's adjusted metrics.
   
    ENI  ENI.MI  
    Investors interested in buying a minority stake in Eni's
carbon capture unit will submit binding offers by February,
Corriere della Sera reported on Saturday. Eni's Chief Transition
& Financial Officer Francesco Gattei said last October the group
was in talks with five to six potential buyers.
    The energy group is preparing to resume drilling at Egypt's
offshore gas field Zohr, a spokesperson said on Friday,
confirming previous comments by the African country's ministry
of petroleum and mineral resources.
    
    BANCA IFIS  IF.MI 
    The lender aims to grow by broaden non-performing loan (NPL)
business and launching a 'private banking’ division, the
chairman told Il Sole 24 Ore on Saturday. The bank could
accelerate growth with M&A activity, he added.
    
    CAMPARI  CPRI.MI  
    Shares in the spirits maker, along with European and
American peers, fell as much as 5.2% on Friday after the U.S.
surgeon general called for cancer warnings on the labels of
alcoholic drinks.
    
    STELLANTIS  STLAM.MI 
    Stellantis's car production shrank last year by 46% to the
lowest since 1956, trade union figures showed on Friday, while
the company's output of all vehicles was down by 37%.
        
    UNIEURO  UNIR.MI 
    First of two-day suspension from negotiations ahead of
de-listing.
