    POLITICS
    Italy's Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on Thursday renewed
her criticism of the euro zone bailout fund, a 500-billion-euro
facility held back by Rome's reluctance to ratify its
recently-adopted reform.
     Italy may cut excise duties to curb rising fuel prices, its
economy minister said on Thursday, in the face of mounting
public anger that could pose the first major challenge for
nationalist Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
    ECONOMY
    ISTAT releases November industrial output data (0900 GMT)
and monthly bulletin on the state of the economy in November and
December (1000 GMT).
    COMPANIES

    Italy advertising spending rose 1.1% in November and was
down 0.9% in the first eleven months of the year, research group
Nielsen said on Thursday.

    The company posted on Thursday an operating profit of 19.9
million euros in the first nine-months of the year. It also
appointed its new chief financial officer. 
    BANCA IFIS  IF.MI 
    The bank said on Thursday it had issued a 300-million-euro
bond with a maturity of four years. 
    DIARY
    Rome, Industry Ministry holds meeting with the National
Council of Consumers and Users on the dynamics of fuel prices,
chaired by Industry Minister Adolfo Urso, Industry
Undersecretary Massimo Bitonci and Price Supervisor Benedetto
Mineo (1200 GMT).
    Milan, Men's fashion shows 2023/2024 Fall/Winter start; end
on Jan. 17.
