    Italy's Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni asked Iranian
President Masoud Pezeshkian to avoid escalation in the Middle
East during a call, the government said in a statement on
Thursday.
    
    ECONOMY
    ISTAT releases July CPI final data (0800 GMT) and June
foreign trade data (0900 GMT).
    Bank of Italy releases June data on Italian residents
deposits with domestic banks, banks lending to non-financial
companies and gross bad loans at Italian banks.
    
    DEBT
    Treasury sells 7.5 billion euros ($8.18 billion) 12-month
BOT bills. Subscriptions close at 0900 GMT.
    
    COMPANIES
    Milan Stock Exchange After Hours market closed.
    
    LEONARDO  LDOF.MI 
    Rheinmetall  RHMG.DE  expects orders worth up to 25 billion
euros from the Italian government for its joint tank-building
venture with defence manufacturer Leonardo, the German defence
group's CEO said on Thursday.
    
    UNIEURO  UNIR.MI 
    French retailer Fnac Darty  FNAC.PA  said on Thursday it had
obtained from its lending banks the waivers required to go ahead
with its bid for the Italian consumer electronics distributor.
    
    ASSICURAZIONI GENERALI  GASI.MI 
    Releases H1 results (0500 GMT), followed by conference call
(1000 GMT).
    
    UNIPOL  UNPI.MI 
    Releases H1 results (0500 GMT), followed by conference call
(0900 GMT).
    
    CIVITANAVI SYSTEMS  CNS.MI 
    Honeywell Srl ends full voluntary takeover offer on
Civitanavi Systems shares.
    
    SARAS  SRS.MI 
    Varas ends mandatory takeover offer on Saras shares.
    
    DIARY
    Italian beach concession holders plan to block access to
services on Friday to protest against government.
