    ISTAT releases April producer prices data (0800 GMT) and
March industry sales data (0900 GMT).
    
    DEBT
    ECB releases April data on Italian banks domestic government
bond holdings (0800 GMT).
    Treasury sells 4.5-5.0 billion euros new 3.80% BTP bonds due
Aug. 1, 2028; 2.0-2.5 billion euros 4.35% BTP bonds due Nov. 1,
2033; 1.5-2.0 billion euros 4.40% BTP bonds due May 1, 2033;
1.0-1.5 billion euros CCTeu bond due Oct. 15, 2028.

    BANCO BPM  BAMI.MI  
    Italy's third-largest bank said on Monday it had exercised a
call option to buy the remaining 65% stakes in both Vera Vita
and Vera Assicurazioni from insurer Cattolica for a total of
392.5 million euros.

    TELECOM ITALIA (TIM)  TLIT.MI 
    Telecom Italia's directors on Monday postponed a decision
over the filling of a vacant seat on the former phone monopoly's
board, two sources familiar with the matter said.
