S.Korean pharmaceutical stocks surge as China virus spreads

** South Korea's pharmaceutical companies surge on
expectations of higher demand for medical products as the
coronavirus spreads to other countries
    ** The United States warned against travel to China on
Monday and Canada issued a more narrow travel warning as the

    ** Shares of Nano Chem Tech  091970.KQ  and Kukje Pharma
 002720.KS  soar 22% and 24%, respectively, while Woojung Bio
 215380.KQ  gains 10.5%
    ** Heavyweight Samsung BioLogics  207940.KS  rises more than
3%
    ** Shares of mask producer Monalisa  012690.KS  also surge
nearly 28% 
    ** The benchmark KOSPI  .KS11  is down 2.5%, while the
junior KOSDAQ  .KQ11  slides 3.3%
