ECB releases October data on Italian banks domestic
government bond holdings.
Treasury sells up to 5.0 billion euros new 3.40% BTP
bond due April 1, 2028 in exchange for following bonds: CCTeu
due July 15, 2023; 0.65% BTP due Oct. 15, 2023; zero coupon BTP
due Nov. 29, 2023; CCTeu due Dec. 15, 2023 and CCTeu due April
15, 2025.

TELECOM ITALIA (TIM) TLIT.MI
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has given one of her
top aides powers to oversee Rome's strategy on ultra-fast
broadband networks as the new right-wing government reviews
plans for the country's biggest telecoms company.
A government source on Sunday said Meloni will likely decide
as early as on Monday whether to give a green light to state
lender CDP's non binding offer for Telecom Italia (TIM)
TLIT.MI network.
The source said key government figures expressed
reservations over CDP's strategy on TIM ahead of a Nov. 30
deadline to submit a non binding bid for the former phone
monopoly network infrastructure.
According to a report by La Repubblica on Sunday, Meloni
decided to halt CDP's bid for the network.
ENERGY FIRMS
The derivative exposure of Italian energy firms stood at 87
billion euros ($90.5 billion) as of mid-November, sharply up
from 60 billion euros a year earlier, a central bank report
showed on Friday.

Italy's government will fight a judicial appeal by the city
of Piombino against a key plan to install a new liquefied
natural gas (LNG) floating terminal in its port, the country's
energy and environment minister said on Friday.

A buyout offer launched by the Benetton family and U.S.
investment fund Blackstone for Italy's Atlantia has breached the
95% threshold, the bidders said on Friday, allowing them to
squeeze out the remaining investors.

The value of imports for fur clothing, accessories and other
items in the European Union has dropped more than 60% over the
past decade, animal welfare organisation Four Paws said on
Friday, as it called for a ban on fur farms.

A consortium of defence group and commercial vehicle maker
has won an order to supply Brazil's army with 220 armoured
vehicles worth up to 2 billion euros ($2.08 billion), Italy's
