POLITICS
Lower house of parliament holds final vote on a government
package of measures to help firms and families cope with surging
energy costs, still to be approved by the Senate. (1400)
ECONOMY
ISTAT releases May retail sales data (0800 GMT) and bulletin
on the state of the economy for May and June (0900 GMT).
OECD releases June composite leading indicator data (1000
GMT).
Bank of Italy releases May data on Italian residents
deposits with domestic banks, banks' lending to non-financial
companies and gross bad loans at Italian banks.
COMPANIES
AUTOGRILL AGL.MI
Italian airport and motorway caterer Autogrill AGL.MI and
Swiss duty-free retailer Dufry DUFN.S are close to finalising
their talks for a tie-up, several Italian newspapers reported.
The Benetton family would get a stake of around 20% in the new
group while the positions of other Dufry shareholders would be
diluted, including those of Advent International and Alibaba.
ENI ENI.MI
The energy group said on Friday that it would receive only
part of the gas it had requested from Russia's Gazprom GAZP.MM
for July 9 and for the next few days, possibly until July 16.

The defence company has launched a commercial paper program
that will allow issuance of securities for up to 1 billion euros
and will serve as an additional short-term funding instrument to

BPER Banca EMII.MI starts mandatory full takeover bid on

Trading suspension starts, following the total takeover bid
launched by Howden Italia Holdings Srl on ordinary shares; ends
on July 12.
DIARY
Italy's agency for technologies, energy and environment ENEA
holds online presentation of study results on potential gas
savings achievable through targeted actions in the residential
sector with Ecological Transition Minister Roberto Cingolani,
ENEA President Gilberto Dialuce, ENEA Department of Energy
Efficiency Director Ilaria Bertini (0745 GMT).
Mestre-Venice, state lender Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP)
holds inauguration ceremony of new office; CDP and Italy's
export agency SACE hold roadshow "Resources and projects for
Veneto region" with CDP President Giovanni Gorno Tempini
delivering welcome remarks (1445 GMT); expected attendees
include Venice Mayor Luigi Brugnaro (1500 GMT); CDP CEO Dario
