Spanish stocks - Factors to watch on April 20

BBVA BBVA.MC

The bank said on Friday it had completed the second tranche of its buyback programme, reaching the 1.00 billion euro cap after purchasing 52.8 million shares, about 0.94% of its share capital.

NEINOR HOMES HOME.MC

The company said on Friday its audit and control committee and board approved a joint venture with Stoneshield Capital, classified as a related-party transaction, with conflict safeguards in place and a project expected to generate over 600 million euros in revenue.

REPSOL REP.MC, IBERDROLA IBE.MC, ENDESA ELE.MC, NATURGY NTGY.MC

Repsol plans to seek about 125 million euros in damages from Iberdrola, Endesa and Naturgy over power outages including the April 28, 2025 blackout that disrupted its five Spanish refineries, filing claims by month-end, Expansion reported on Monday, citing sources familiar with the matter.

TELEFONICA TEF.MC

Telefonica's Brazilian unit Vivo is prioritising fibre expansion, including bolt-on acquisitions, to sustain cash generation and earnings growth as the group exits most of Latin America, Spanish newspaper El Pais reported on Monday, citing an interview with Vivo CEO Christian Gebara.
