** Community lender Lakeside Bancshares' LKSB.PK shares jump 47% to $18.75

** Catalyst Bancorp CLST.O will buy rival LKSB in a $41.1 million cash deal, the banks announced late Wednesday

** CLST shares fall 6.3% to $16.02

** LKSB shareholders will receive $19.58 per share, representing 53.7% upside to stock's last close

** Deal more than doubles the size of CLST and expected to close in Q3 2026

** Transaction expected to boost CLST profit by 180% once cost savings are fully realized

** As of last close, LKSB up 15.9% while CLST up 8.6% YTD
