Broadcaster RTL Group beats expectations as streaming turns profit

May 13 (Reuters) - European broadcaster RTL Group RRTL.DE reported first quarter revenue marginally above expectations on Thursday, as its streaming business turned a profit for the first time.

The broadcaster reported revenue of 1.3 billion euros ($1.53 billion), beating a company-provided consensus estimate of 1.28 billion.

RTL confirmed its 2026 guidance, expecting streaming profit of between 25 million and 50 million euros, and a full year total profit of around 725 million euros.
