    POLITICS
    Italy's Economy Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti said on
Wednesday the government was poised to pass a decree
reorganising the Treasury, adding that the proposal could be
discussed by the cabinet as early as this week.
    ECONOMY
    Italy posted a state sector budget deficit of 7.0 billion
euros ($7.64 billion) in January compared to a shortfall of 902
million euros in the same month last year
    COMPANIES
    STELLANTIS  STLA.MI 
    The carmaker held a 33.9% share in Italy's car market in
January, Reuters calculations based on the data provided by the
transport ministry showed. Industry-wide car sales rose 19% last
month, the transport ministry said.
    SNAM  SRG.MI 
    Italy urgently needs to expand the capacity of its gas grid,
the CEO of network operator said, adding the group would seek
European Union funds to support the development.

    The Italian refiner said its top investor Angel Capital
Management entered into a so-called funded collar derivative
contract with BofA Securities related to up to 5% stake of
company's capital.
