Feb 18 (Reuters) - Forebase International Holdings Ltd  2310.HK : 
 * Says obtained preliminary legal advice from its legal adviser on the petition 
 * The board of directors of the co is of the view that the "company has solid grounds to defend against the petition" 
 * "No concrete terms nor legally binding agreement relating to any possible acquisition has been agreed or entered into by co" 
 * Except writ of summons issued by Zhi Charles and petition of which Zhi Charles is petitioner, group not involved in any other legal proceedings 
 * "Is considering certain acquisition targets at present" which should improve the group's assets base and financial position 
 * Reference made to announcement of co dated 12 February in relation to winding up petition filed against Forebase International Holdings Ltd
