Sierra Metals down on mine blockade, forecast suspension

** U.S. shares of Canadian miner Sierra Metals Inc SMTS.N
down 3.9% at 50 cents in thin premarket trade
** SMTS says a road to its Yauricocha mine in Peru has been
blocked by residents from the nearby Alis town urn:newsml:reuters.com:*:nBw7rr7g0a
** Adds mine production continues to be suspended except for
critical operations required for safety and maintenance
** Suspends its 2022 production and financial guidance,
saying it is uncertain when the dispute will be resolved and the
mine will be restarted
** Last week, three miners had died and a fourth had been

** U.S. stock down ~62% YTD, through last close
