** Shares of South Korean coronavirus test kit makers surge
on hopes for fast-track approval from the U.S. Food and Drug
Administration (FDA) after a phone call between the leaders of
the two countries
    ** U.S. President Donald Trump on Tuesday asked South Korean
President Moon Jae-in to send medical equipment to the United
States to fight the coronavirus, while promising to take
immediate action to help Korean companies gain U.S. government

 253840.KQ  jump 19.6% and 14.7%, respectively

    ** Broader KOSPI  .KS11  was trading up 2.6%, as of 0049
GMT, while the junior KOSDAQ  .KQ11  rose 2.3%
