US project suspension drags Orsted shares to bottom of STOXX

** Shares in Danish renewable energy company ORSTED.CO slump 10% in volume spike after US suspended a lease for one of its projects

** The Trump administration paused leases for five large-scale under-construction offshore wind projects over national security concerns, the Department of the Interior said on Monday

** Besides Orsted's Revolution Wind and Sunrise Wind, the pause will affect GE Vernova's GEV.N Vineyard Wind 1, Dominion Energy's D.N Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind–Commercial, and Equinor's EQNR.OL Empire Wind 1 projects

** Orsted, which has fully resumed work on the 80%-complete US Revolution Wind project in October, expected it to begin operations in the second half of 2026

** The stock hits the bottom of pan-European STOXX 600 index .STOXX and is on track for its worst day since August

** Shares in Danish wind turbine maker Vestas VWS.CO fall 3% in afternoon trade
