U.S. stocks rose on Tuesday, with the S&P 500 hitting a four-month high, as
energy companies got a lift from firming oil prices and strong results from
PepsiCo signaled a flying start to the second-quarter earnings season.  .N 

At 11:23 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was up 0.52 percent at
24,906.64. The S&P 500  .SPX  was up 0.28 percent at 2,792.02 and the Nasdaq
Composite  .IXIC  was up 0.15 percent at 7,767.488.
