** Ontario cobalt developer Fortune Minerals FT.TO and
Quebec graphite exploration company Lomiko Metals LMR.V have
been awarded about $32.4 million in combined funding, as U.S.
and Canada attempt to bolster critical-minerals supply chain in
the face of an escalating trade war with China.
** Canadian food and pharmacy retailer Loblaw Companies
L.TO has dropped its earlier opposition and agreed to sign on
to the new rules aimed at smoothing relations between retailers
and their suppliers.
** Canada's most heavily used transit system Toronto Transit
Commission is looking at the possibility of its first strike in
more than a decade as soon as early next month.
