Wall Street's main indexes slipped on Thursday, as cautious investors awaited clues on monetary policy from a Federal Reserve conference in Jackson Hole, while big-box retailer Walmart's quarterly results did little to boost sentiment.  .N

At  13:30 EDT, the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI was down 0.55% at 44,692.11.The S&P 500 .SPX was down 0.59% at 6,357.99, and the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC was down 0.66% at 21,032.81.
