India's HPL Electric hits record high on winning orders worth 21 bln rupees

** Shares of HPL Electric & Power  HPLE.NS  surges 13% to a
record high of 536.80 rupees
    ** Electric equipment maker on Thursday said it won orders
worth 21.01 bln rupees ($251.6 mln) for supply of smart meters
    ** Stock up 88.3% YTD, top gainer among rival smart meter
makers GMR Power  GMRP.NS , Genus Power  GEOE.NS , which are up
~67% and ~56% YTD, respectively
