MILAN, July 12 (Reuters) - Italian regional utility
Dolomiti Energia said on Friday it would buy the 40% it does not
already own in its unit Hydro Dolomiti Energia (HDE) from
Australian investor Macquarie for 401.5 million euros.
In a statement the Italian group said its board had decided
to exercise its last-look pre-emption right and snap up the
minority stake in HDE after a consortium led by global investor
Equitix had offered to acquire it last month.
HDE owns 26 hydroelectric power plants in northern Italy
with an installed capacity of 1.3 gigawatts (GW).
