Wall Street's main indexes inched higher on Tuesday after data showed inflation rose broadly in line with expectations in July, putting the Federal Reserve on track to lower interest rates next month.  .N

At  11:30 EDT, the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI was up 0.97% at 44,399.98.The S&P 500 .SPX was up 0.76% at 6,421.97, and the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC was up 0.88% at 21,573.64.
