    Treasury continues offer of new 5-year 'Btp Valore', BTP
bond for retail investors only; ends on Oct. 6, subject to early
closure.
    
    Total orders for Italy's new five-year 'BTP Valore' issue
for retail investors have reached 12.89 billion euros in the
third day of the offer, Milan bourse data showed on Wednesday.
    The orders signal confidence in the country, Economy
Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti said on Wednesday.

    Representatives of Telecom Italia's top investor Vivendi
 VIV.PA  will tell Italy's Economy Minister they remain
sceptical about a government-sponsored plan to sell the telecoms
firm's grid when they meet him in Rome later on Thursday,
sources familiar with the matter said.
