Wall Street's main indexes took a beating on Tuesday as reports of escalating
tensions in the Middle East made investors sell riskier assets, with the
benchmark S&P 500 hitting its lowest in over a week.  .N 
    
    At 13:50 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was down 0.5 at
42,113.49. The S&P 500  .SPX  was down 1.09% at 5,699.8 and the Nasdaq Composite
 .IXIC  was down 1.86% at 17,851.523.
