** Shares in equity investment company Ackermanns & Van
Haaren (AvH) ACKB.BR and AvH-owned construction firm CFE
CFEB.BR rise 5.3% and 4%, respectively, on strong H1 trading
updates
** Ackermanns & Van Haaren posted a net profit of 165.7
million euros ($195.97 million), 16% above ING's expectation
** The firm also said strong results are expected for H2,
putting profit for FY (before capital gains) on course for a

** KBC notes AvH benefited from the recovery in all
divisions and continued to see strong momentum within the
Private banking segment
** ING calls the results impressive and highlights that they
are almost entirely operational, adding it's particularly
surprised by the 32% year-on-year increase in private banking
** CFE also posted strong results, even beating pre-covid
numbers of 2019, KBC says
