    POLITICS
    The European Union must keep stimulating its economy and
find a collective response to an array of challenges, including
the crisis in Ukraine, Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi said
on Friday. The former ECB president said EU needs to find a
compromise on where to find the resources, because there is no

    ECONOMY
    Italian police have seized a superyacht owned by Russian
billionaire Andrey Igorevich Melnichenko, the prime minister's
office said on Saturday, a few days after the businessman was
placed on an EU sanctions list following Russia's invasion of
Ukraine.
    Since last week Italian police have seized villas and yachts
worth more than 700 million euros ($763.63 million) from
high-profile Russians who have been placed on the EU sanctions
list, Economy Minister Daniele Franco said on Saturday.

    Italy reported 48,886 COVID-19 cases and 86 related deaths
on Sunday, down from 53,825 cases and 133 fatalities the day

    The troubled energy contractor said on Friday it had
postponed the board of directors for the revision of the
2022-2025 strategic plan and related financial and equity
support plan to March 24 from March 15.

    Eni  ENI.MI  and BP  BP.L  have completed a deal to merge
their oil and gas operations in Angola, the groups said on
Friday, confirming what sources earlier exclusively told
Reuters. The deal will create a company called Azule Energy
which is expected to be Angola’s largest producer with stakes in

    The Italian infrastructure holding controlled by the
Benetton family told Reuters it expects Italy's audit court to
clear the group's sale of motorway unit Autostrade per l'Italia

    LEONARDO  LDOF.MI 
    The company aims to become an European defence hub for
electronics, leveraging synergies in the fields of sensors,
cybersecurity, data management and robotics, CEO Alessandro
Profumo told Il Messaggero on Sunday. The acquisition of a stake
in Germany's Hensoldt was a key step on this direction, Profumo
added. The defence group is expanding its expertise in
aeronautics, strengthening the Eurofigther programme and
participating in the Tempest programme, Profumo said.
