TOKYO, Feb 27 (Reuters) - Japan's Shikoku Electric Power
Co Inc 9507.T has shut the No.3 reactor at its Ikata nuclear
power station in western Japan for maintenance and refuelling, a
company spokesperson said on Monday.
The utility shut the 890-megawatt (MW) reactor on Feb. 23
and plans to reboot it in late May, he said.
With the shutdown, Japan has seven operating reactors with a
capacity of 7,306 MW.
Many of Japan's reactors are still going through a
relicensing process under safety standards imposed after the
Fukushima disaster.
Nine regional power utilities and a wholesaler Japan Atomic
Power Co (Japco) now have 33 reactors available for commercial
use, with a combined capacity of 33,083 MW.
The companies had 54 reactors operating before the Fukushima
disaster.
The table below shows the status of Japan's nuclear power
plants.
The regional utilities are: Chubu Electric Power 9502.T ,
Chugoku Electric Power 9504.T , Hokkaido Electric Power
