TOKYO, Sept 19 (Reuters) - Japan's Kansai Electric Power
9503.T has shut the No. 3 reactor at its western nuclear power
station of Takahama and the No.4 reactor at its Ohi nuclear
power station for scheduled maintenance, a company spokesperson
said on Tuesday.
The 870-megawatt (MW) No. 3 reactor in Takahama was shut on
Monday for turnaround, with a plan to restart in early December,
the spokesperson said.
The 1,180-MW No.4 reactor at Ohi in western Japan also went
offline on Aug. 31 for maintenance, he said, adding that the
restart is scheduled at early November.
With the shutdown, Japan has 10 operating reactors with a
capacity of 9,558 MW.
Operators of many reactors are still going through a
relicensing process to comply with safety standards imposed
after the 2011 Fukushima nuclear power disaster. The companies
had 54 reactors operating before the disaster.
The table below shows the status of Japan's nuclear power
