Table: Japan nuclear operations: Kansai restarts Mihama No.3 after maintenance

TOKYO, Jan 18 (Reuters) - Kansai Electric Power  9503.T 
has restarted the No. 3 reactor at its Mihama nuclear power
station in western Japan after scheduled maintenance, a company
spokesperson said on Thursday.
    The 826-megawatt (MW) reactor was rebooted mid-Thursday.
    The utility company has also restarted the 870-MW No.3
reactor at its Takahama nuclear power station after scheduled
maintenance on Dec. 22, 2023, while shutting the 870-MW No.4
reactor at Takahama for planned maintenance on Dec. 16, the
spokesperson said.
    With the restarts and shutdown, Japan has 11 operating
reactors with a total capacity of 10,738 MW.  
    Many companies are still going through a relicensing process
to comply with stricter safety standards imposed after the 2011
Fukushima disaster. The companies had 54 operational reactors
before the disaster.
    The table below shows the status of Japan's nuclear power
plants.
    The regional utilities are: Chubu Electric Power  9502.T ,
Chugoku Electric Power  9504.T , Hokkaido Electric Power
 9509.T , Hokuriku Electric Power  9505.T , Kansai Electric
Power  9503.T , Kyushu Electric Power  9508.T , Shikoku Electric

Electric Power (Tepco)  9501.T .
