TOKYO, Sept 15 (Reuters) - Japan's Kansai Electric Power
 9503.T  restarted on Friday a 47-year-old reactor at its
western nuclear power station of Takahama, a company
spokesperson said, adding nearly 1 gigawatt (GW) of power to
further trim consumption of gas.
    After Friday's restart, nine regional power utilities and
wholesaler Japan Atomic Power Co (Japco) have 12 operating
reactors with combined capacity of 11.6 GW, or a third of the
33.1 GW of capacity from 33 reactors designated for commercial
use.
    Operators of many reactors are still going through a
relicensing process to comply with safety standards imposed
after the Fukushima disaster. The companies had 54 reactors
operating before Fukushima.
    The table below shows the status of Japan's nuclear power
plants. 
    The regional utilities are: Chubu Electric Power  9502.T ,
Chugoku Electric Power  9504.T , Hokkaido Electric Power
 9509.T , Hokuriku Electric Power  9505.T , Kansai Electric
Power  9503.T , Kyushu Electric Power  9508.T , Shikoku Electric

Electric Power (Tepco)  9501.T .
