TOKYO, Jan 5 (Reuters) - Japan's Chubu Electric Power 9502.T said on Monday that the methods used to evaluate seismic motion at its Hamaoka Nuclear Power Station may have differed from those reported to the regulatory authority.
The discrepancy could "significantly impact" the regulatory review of the central Japan plant, the utility said in a statement.
Chubu Electric is currently undergoing a review by the Nuclear Regulation Authority to restart Hamaoka's No. 3 and No. 4 reactors.
