U.S. stock index futures slipped on Tuesday, hurt by sharp losses in shares of
health insurers, while investors awaited more economic data and comments from
Federal Reserve officials for hints on the timing of interest rate cuts.

    At 7:40 ET, Dow e-minis  1YMc1  were down 0.41% at 39,731. S&P 500 e-minis
 ESc1  were down 0.28% at 5,280.25, while Nasdaq 100 e-minis  NQc1  were down
0.38% at 18,427.75.
