U.S. stocks fell on Wednesday with a gloomy first-half of the year approaching
its end, marred by concerns of an aggressive monetary policy that risks pushing
the economy into a recession.  .N 
    At 1409 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was up 0.54% at
31,112.95. The S&P 500  .SPX  was up 0.15% at 3,827.24 and the Nasdaq Composite
 .IXIC  was up 0.11% at 11,194.28.
