Wall Street's main indexes tumbled more than 1% on Monday in a dour start to the
week as investors worried about hawkish signals from Federal Reserve
policymakers against the backdrop of slowing economic growth.  .N 
    
    At 11:37 a.m. ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was down 1.29% at
33,272.73. The S&P 500  .SPX  was down 1.59% at 4,161.43 and the Nasdaq
Composite  .IXIC  was down 2.03% at 12,446.946.
