Lithium stocks up on Biden's comment on govt contracts

** U.S.-listed shares of Canadian lithium miner Lithium
Americas  LAC.N ,  LAC.TO  up 1.3% at $12.11 in extended trade 
    ** U.S. President-elect Joe Biden says no government
contract will be given to companies that do not make products in

    ** Lithium Americas is focused on development of two lithium
projects, of which the Lithium Nevada project is located in
north-western Nevada in the U.S.
    ** Shares of other lithium miners Livent Corp  LTHM.N ,
Albemarle Corp  ALB.N  and American Lithium Corp  LI.V , which
have production facilities within the United States, closed up
between 5.3% and 11%      
    ** Meanwhile, Canada said it will press the new U.S.
administration for an integrated "Buy North America" approach,
